Discipline and Trust for the Long Run

Thanks for visiting my web site. Whether you are one of my wonderful clients or just visiting for the first time, I hope you find something useful. I always appreciate feedback so press the contact link to send me a note.

I was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Bethesda, Maryland. I obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in 1984.   From there, I worked as Captain in United States Air Force to help purchase F-16 Fighters in Dayton, Ohio, while also obtaining an MBA from Wright State University in 1987.

My family and I moved to Cary, NC in 1991 where I initially worked as an entrepreneur with a small RTP Development Company for 5 years in the early 1990s. In 1996, I joined Nortel Networks working in Finance and Product Management. In 2002, I was fortunate enough to join AXA Advisors earning such accolades as Financial Advisor of the Year in my peer group for 2003, 2005, and 2006.

My wife LaVonda and I have 3 wonderful children and numerous pets. I am very active in the community, serving on the YMCA Cary Branch Advisory Board for 10 years. Currently. I am helping coach soccer, volleyball, and swim meets and also enjoy biking and racquetball.

My diverse experience has made me very well suited for my current (and final) profession. Having worked with large and small companies, public and private, I have shared many of the everyday  problems my clients now face.  My goal is to establish long term working relationships with my clients.

The financial services include general investing, college funding, retirement planning, and insurance planning related to life, health, disability and long term care. I also assist with estate and tax planning working with numerous local lawyers and accountants.

AXA Advisors does not provide tax or legal advice. Please consult your tax and/or legal advisors regarding your particular circumstances.

In this year’s election, there are issues, such as energy, free trade, and inflation, playing a role that could have a significant effect on investors and consumers over the next four years.

Charity That Pays

By organizing your giving, you can make it more effective, allowing your largess to benefit not only the intended charity, but potentially yourself and your heirs. Two popular ways to structure your giving are charitable lead trusts and charitable remainder trusts.

Investing Can Be Funds

The popularity of mutual funds is not surprising, considering the benefits they can offer to investors. Some of these benefits could help make mutual funds an important part of your portfolio.

Increase Your Protection

If your net worth exceeds the amount of liability coverage provided by your homeowners and auto insurance policies (each usually tops out somewhere between $300,000 and $500,000), you might want to consider an umbrella liability insurance policy.
